Penyabong is essentially a fishing village. It fronts the South China Sea. Pulau Tioman is located about 25 miles out to sea from Penyabong. Between Tioman and Penyabong there are 12 islands of various sizes.
If you are looking for tranquility, Penyabong is the right place to visit.
The Endau Beach Resort is located by the Penyabong beach where there is a jetty for fishing boats and boats for island hopping.
The islands are surrounded by crystal clear water that allows you to view the fish and corals below. Some of the corals are as large as a round dining table. With some luck you might even see barracudas and sharks. On the larger islands, you may see wild boars, monitor lizards and other wild animals.
Close to Endau Beach Resort are several restaurants and food stalls that serve local cuisine at low prices.
Penyabong can be reached from Kota Tinggi or Rompin through Endau. Kota Tinggi lies to the South of Penyabong. Rompin lies to the North. Endau town lies to the West.
